Landline Validation

Our Landline Validation service allows you to verify the status of the landlines in your database. The process is automatic, fast and the subscriber will not be disturbed.

This "sniff test" can identify the status of a line without actually dialling the number. We guarantee that there will be no silent or abandoned calls. The system is completely compliant with OFCOM regulations and fully adheres to direct marketing guidelines as laid down by the DMA. This means less time wasted on dialling dead or unavailable numbers and more time spent promoting your products and services.

Turnaround Times

Turnaround times vary based on the size of your file and system congestion at the time your file is submitted. Unlike TPS screening, which is all but instantaneous, Live Landline checking can take up to 24 hours, sometimes longer depending on the file size.

For example, the average turnaround time is currently around 1-3 hours for a file of 10,000 numbers. Talk to one of our team for more information.

Landline Telephone Number Validation Results

Code: Description
LIVE The number is active
DEAD The number is inactive
INVALID The number is incorrectly structured or is not a valid number issued by OFCOM
INCONCLUSIVE The number probably needs to be manually tested. It may be on an analogue exchange which is failing to properly respond.
